Jonathan Richards Hats

Founded in 1924 by a tailor named Jonathan and a marketer named Richard, the duo's elegant hats evoke the best of traditional Donegal Tweed design that continues to be popular to this day. Initially based in their workshop in Dublin city centre, this team of two moved outwards to the outskirts of Ireland's capital called Ballyfermot. That's where they work from to this day. Jonathan Richards hats have been worn by many big names across the world including the cast of 'The Wind that Shakes the Barley' movie cast.

Starting their business with the newsboy cap and the traditional and classic flat cap, their product line expanded to many other Irish hats and caps. The Irish walking hat is a popular Irish hat.

Gifts of Ireland is based just next to the Jonathan Richards workshop and we regularly visit them to refresh our collections.
