A Famous Feature of Old Ireland
The Quiet Man is a special tale in the hearts of the Irish people. John Wayne plays an Irish American boxer who visits the place of his birth in Inisfree. There, he bids to buy back the old family farm with its quaint thatched cottage and it's emerald green door. When he falls in love with a local Irish girl (Maureen O'Hara) it adds to the romance of his homeland.
This replica of the Quiet Man thatched cottage seen in the movie is handmade in Fermanagh, Ireland at the Belleek workshop. We have visited the workshop of Belleek and saw first hand how each piece is beautifully hand painted and created from scratch.
The thatched Cottage is such an iconic symbol of Ireland and a lovely addition to your own home or for a gift to someone special.
